[Also in Division E2] A quick-locking connector for a camera shutter release cable 42, comprises a block 14 having therethrough a bore 16, and a leaf spring 26 secured to said block and extending into a slot 28 in said block transversely across said bore, said spring being disposed normally to be inclined to the axis of said bore and having therethrough an opening 30 which registers with said bore and whose edge frictionally grips the cable via sheath 46 and holds the cable in said bore when inserted therein. The cable is released by pivoting spring 26 upwards about its bend 50 by means of a button 31. The hole 30 may be circular or oval. In the latter case the cable is held frictionally against the side of said bore. |
