IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS FOR PREVENTING A DEVELOPING ROLLER FROM BEING CONTAMINATED AND DAMAGED

PURPOSE: An image forming apparatus is provided to prevent a developing roller from being contaminated and damaged by removing developer covered on the surfaces of both ends of the developing roller. CONSTITUTION: An electrostatic latent image is formed by developer on a photosensitive drum(12). A developing roller(21) delivers the developer to the photosensitive drum. A developer quantity regulating member(23) regulates thickness of the developer on the developing roller. A developer removing part(22) is located at either end of the developing roller between the photosensitive drum and the developer quantity regulating member. The developer removing part includes a guide plane sloped into an axis direction of the developing roller so that the guide plane can contact to a drum surface of the end of the developing roller and guide the developer covered on the drum surface thereof into the axis direction of the developing roller.
