The clamp moves between an open position which allows the projection to be inserted and removed, and a closed position that locks the syringe in place. The clamp, which turns about a pivot (28), also has a recess to receive the upper portion of the projection. The engagement of the projection with the cavity also ensures that the syringe body is in line with the plunger's axis. |
