LONG-SIZED WIDEBAND HALF-WAVE PLATE AND LIQUID CRYSTAL PROJECTOR

摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a long-sized wideband half-wave plate which is efficiently manufactured and is excellent in uniformity of retardation and a liquid crystal projector comprising the wideband half-wave plate obtained from the long-sized wideband half-wave plate.

SOLUTION: The long-sized wideband half-wave plate is formed by layering at least two long-sized optical retardation films so as to make their longitudinal directions coincide with each other, wherein at least one out of the long-sized optical retardation films is obliquely stretched. The the liquid crystal projector having the wideband half-wave plate is also provided.
