PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic grain sorter which can perform the sorting of defective grains in a high precision by the secondary sorting, is low-cost, and is easily maintainable. SOLUTION: The automatic grain sorter is controlled in the following way. When a lower limit switch LS2 detects that the feed of grains to be subjected to the primary sorting to a tank 18 is started, a color sorter 10 starts the primary sorting. When the switch LS2 detects that the feed of the grains to be subjected to the primary sorting from the tank 18 into the color sorter 10 is finished, the primary sorting is finished. When a lower limit switch LS4 detects that the feed of grains sorted as defective grains by the primary sorting from the tank 78 into the tank 18 is finished, the color sorter 10 starts the secondary sorting. When the switch LS4 detects that the discharge of the grains subjected to the secondary sorting from the tank 78 is finished, the secondary sorting is stopped. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI
