PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rental goods management device which increases the number of owned rental goods without securing storage places of the rental goods.

SOLUTION: The rental goods management device manages operating time of the rental goods at rental destinations. The device is provided with: a use start detection means 11a1 for detecting the start of use based on changes of operating states of the rental goods; an use termination detection means 11a2 for detecting termination of use of the rental goods of which the start of use is detected by the use start detection means 11a1 based on changes of the operating states of the rental goods; an operating time calculation means 11a3 for calculating the operating time based on time when the start of use is detected and time when the termination of use is detected; an operating time information generation means 11a4 for generating operating time information capable of discriminating the operating time calculated by the operating time calculation means 11a3; and an operating time information storage means 12a for storing the operating time information generated by the operating time information generation means 11a4.
