PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a filling device for inserting a thin sheet member in a container which holds an item to be inserted with no shift and inserts the same without being caught or scratched. SOLUTION: This filling device for thin sheet members comprises a stocker device for storing sheet members in a specified number or a stoker device for storing more than a specified number of sheet members and a separating device for separating the members in a specified number, a positioning device for separating and positioning a container in which the sheet members are inserted, and a handling device for transporting and inserting/filling an item to be inserted from the stocker device or the separating device.
