<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a band for a grip serving to absorb shake and to lengthen a service life. <P>SOLUTION: A body 10 is provided with a grip layer 11 at an uppermost part and provided with characteristic of high spreading property and density and high non-slip effect. A range of axial thickness is 0.3-1.2 mm, and projecting lips 111 are provided on both sides. Each projecting lip forms a recessed part 112 along the end part. A line 113 of a side part is provided at the adjoining part of each recessed part 112 and the grip layer 11. The use of rubber material is optimal. Even if the modulus of curvature and the degree of extension are large in the process of winding the grip layer 11 with the effect of high spreading property, there is no occurrence of excessive tension or breakage or shortening of the service life. The uppermost surface of a bottom layer 12 is jointed to the bottom face of the grip layer 11. A range of axial thickness is set to 0.8-1.6 mm, and the thickness of the grip layer 11 is made smaller than that of the bottom layer 12.
