The reinforcement of the driver cab (1) for a front-steered lorry is for protection against high vertical loads acting on the roof (5) of the cab. Calculations and research have shown that the end walls (4), floor plates (6) and the rear cab locations (2) comprise dangerous areas when high vertical loads act on the roof. For these areas, reinforcements have been developed, which with a low proportion of the total production can be simply produced. The extra material and work inputs are low. Test loads for the roof extend up to 147 kN. |
