<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connector prevented from being broaded in an insulator-holding hole by displacement such as the spring like displacement of a ground plate, capable of obtaining a spring contact force equivalent to a set value. <P>SOLUTION: A conductive signal contact 11 for being connected to a mate connector is fixed to and held by an insulator 12. Further, the conductive ground plate 14 facing a signal contact is fixed to and held by the insulator. The ground plate has at least one spring piece 16 provided with a contact part. The spring piece is split into a plurality of finger pieces 18 by slits 17. The insulator is fitted with beams 19 arranged to the slits corresponding to the neighboring areas of the roots of the finger pieces. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
