The invention concerns compositions and methods for treating respiratory pathologies. The invention also concerns compositions and methods for regulating pulmonary epithelium paracellular permeability. The inventive compositions and methods are based in particular on the use of agents or conditions modulating the cytoskeleton tension, more particularly compounds inhibiting contraction of the light chain of pulmonary epithelial cell myosin, in particular enterocytes. The invention is useful for preventive or curative treatment of various pathologies, such as asthma, allergies, chronic obstructive lung diseases and the like in mammals, in particular humans. |
