The collar (1) has an aperture (3) between engine chamber (4) and passenger cell (5), and is born between spindle bearing (1.2) and end wall bearing (1.1). It is a one-piece material-identical part, and is adjustable or slideable in direction of the x-axis of the steering spindle (2). The end face bearing is adjustable/ slideable relative to a main body (1.3) of the collar, and the two are connected via a one-part tunnel collar (1.4). The tunnel collar encloses the spindle with one or two layers (1.4a,b), dependent upon deformation. The end face bearing is connected to a spindle seal (1.6) via a second tunnel collar (1.5).
