<p>A method for collecting valuable materials which can easily separate and collect an enclosure can and battery contents from a waste secondary battery having battery contents having a structure including a positive electrode plate, a negative electrode plate and a separator wound together, an enclosure can containing the battery contents, and a cover for enclosing the enclosure can provided with an annular caulking part for connecting it fixedly with the cover, while separating and collecting the positive and negative electrodes, and the like, easily from the battery contents. The collecting method comprises a step for providing two or more cuts passing through two specified points at the annular caulking part and the bottom part of the enclosure can and having a depth deeper than the thickness of the enclosure can so that the caulking part is cut annularly, a step for separating the enclosure can thus cut from the battery contents, and a step for separating the positive and negative electrodes from the contents thus separated.</p> |
