The invention concerns cosmetic compositions with skin lightening and/or spot-removing effect. Said compositions contain polyphenols selected from the group consisting of epsilon -viniferin, mixtures of resveratrol and epsilon -viniferin, and mixtures of polyphenolic, in particular stilbene and/or falvonol, oligomers and/or polymers.
