<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a timer device for quickly and exactly displaying the present time when a mode is changed from a power saving mode to a normal mode, and to provide a control method of the timer device. <P>SOLUTION: The timer device comprises a power generator 2; a secondary power source 31; time counters 922 and 932 for counting the present time; a receiving circuit 42 for receiving a reference radio wave; a time displaying means 5 for displaying the present time; a power detection part 83 for outputting a power detection signal when it detects that the power generator 2 is in a power generating state or that a charge voltage of a secondary battery 31 is at a specified voltage; and an operation mode shifting section 874 for shifting the power saving mode interrupting the time display to the normal mode displaying the time and vice versa based on the power detection signal. The operation mode shifting section 874 makes the time display means 5 display the present time based on time information received by the receiving circuit and the time information counted by the time counters 922 and 932 when the power saving mode is switched to the normal mode. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
