PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of suspending an apparatus without impairing activity of a catalyst in restarting the apparatus for production of a hydrocarbon from a synthetic gas after suspension. SOLUTION: This method is to lower temperature and suspend the apparatus for production of the hydrocarbon from the synthetic gas while keeping the inside of the apparatus in an atmosphere of a reducing gas.
