The inventive small-size inhalator comprises a power supply (1) in the form of a dry constant current battery, a circuit breaker (2) and an electric motor (3) whose shaft is connected to the drive shaft (5) of a fan (6) and arranged in a body (4). A knife (7) for reducing a solid medicinal substance is fixed to the drive shaft (5), said knife being embodied in the form of a blade having chamfered, oppositely bent and diametrically arranged ends. The rotatable knife (7) accelerates air and substances particles in the body (4) tangentially with respect to the surface of the reduced substance, thereby extracting fine particles therefrom and forming with the fan an inhalation flow. The body (4) comprises a detachable lid (8) provided with an orifice (9). The internal surface of said lid can be provided with irregularities (ribs, projections) which hold big particles and deflect them towards the knife (7) for additional reducing. The inhalation flow in the form of a "cold smoke" formed by particles having an average sizes of several tens of nm, can immediately cut short the asthmatic attack.
