PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inexpensively provide a washing apparatus for a square container capable of automatically and beautifully washing all parts of the inner surface of the square container. SOLUTION: A rotary base 25 is provided to the motor shaft 22 of a hydraulic motor 21 and a square gear 29 having a shape, formed by proportionally contracting the shape of the mouth part of the square container 3, is fixed to the shaft case 24 of the hydraulic motor 21. The mounting shaft 31 of a circular small gear 30 meshed with the square gear 29 is held to the rotary base 25 and a roller 34 guided by a recessed groove 33 having a shape, formed by proportionally contracting the shape of the square gear 29, is provided to the mounting shaft 31 of the small gear 30. A brush for washing the container is provided to the mounting shaft of the small gear so as to be capable of regulating the detaching and attaching positions of the brush and a nozzle for ejecting the drain water from the hydraulic motor 21 toward the inner surface of the container is provided and a support table of the square container is raised and lowered by a lift means so as to be capable of covering the brush for washing the container with the square container in a top and bottom reversed state.
