PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an opening and closing device having a simplest structure and saving on man-hour in building it in a conduplicate opening and closing body constituting a portable telephone. SOLUTION: This opening and closing device to connect the conduplicate opening and closing bodies to be relatively opened and closed to each other is constituted of a single body furnished with at least a shaft, a fixed cam provided on one end part of this shaft, a sliding cam slidable in the axial direction by inserting the shaft into an insertion hole provided in the axial direction of its central part, a cam part provided on opposite surfaces of the fixed cam and the sliding cam and an elastic means to energize the sliding cam to slide to the side of the fixed cam, and this single body of the opening and closing device is constituted so as to connect each of the opening and closing bodies by inserting the single body into deformed mounting holes provided in the axial direction of respective mounting parts of the opening and closing bodies, and constituted so that the fixed cam rotates with one of the opening and closing bodies and the sliding cam rotates with the other of the opening and closing bodies.
