PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel brushless resolver provided with constitution capable of reducing cost by reduction of the number of parts, reducing interference between a magnetic circuit on the excitation side and a magnetic circuit on the output side, and increasing detection precision or detection resolution. SOLUTION: This brushless resolver 10 comprises a stator transformer 5 comprising a stator transformer core 51 and a stator transformer winding 52, and a rotor transformer 6 comprising a rotor transformer core 61 and a rotor transformer winding 62. The stator transformer 5 and the rotor transformer 6 compose a transformer part using the cores to transmit resolver excitation signals from the stator side to the rotor side in a contactless way, and modulate the resolver excitation signal in accordance with a rotation angle. For the stator transformer core 51 and the rotor transformer core 61, laminated cores formed by laminating work can be used. A core having a slot can be used. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
