PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the number of times of cleaning to prevent an error from occurring due to contamination of the head of a magnetic card reader. SOLUTION: Coating including photocatalyst represented by anatase titanium dioxide is formed on the casing inside walls and the surfaces of a card inlet/ outlet, a belt, a roller, and a magnetic head of the magnetic card reader to decompose organic substances, which are the substances causing contamination, by the action of light and photocatalyst. Thus the number of times of maintenance of the magnetic card reader can be remarkably reduced. |
