PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To properly feed a pickup in the radial direction of a disk-like recording medium and to make the pickup operated without being affected externally by vibration or the like. SOLUTION: The feeding mechanism is equipped with a guide hole 10 provided in an optical pickup 3 for recording/reproducing signals on an optical disk D; a guide shaft 9 that inserted in the guide hole 10 supports the optical pickup 3 movably in the radial direction of the optical disk D; a feed screw 13 arranged parallelly to the guide shaft 9, supported rotatably around the shaft and formed with a thread 15 on the outer circumferential face; and an elastic member 14 having an engaging part 20 to be fitted to the thread 15 of the feed screw 13 and having an elastic displacing part 22 for pressurizing the guide shaft 9 to the inner circumferential face of the guide hole 10.
