PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem in the prior art that condensation occurs in the part of communication with outside air, and the part gets moldy to make the appliance unhygienic, because outside air is taken in at the time of preparing foods by adding or removing moisture. SOLUTION: In the cooling appliance, a circulating air duct 15 is provided to a heating chamber 2 to connect a ventilation openings 13, 14 for communication, a circulation fan 16 for circulating atmosphere in the chamber 2 through the duct 15, and an absorption chamber 17 for absorbing moisture in the chamber 2 are provided to the air duct 15. Further, there are provided in the appliance an adsorption chamber 17 adsorbing moisture in the atmosphere in the chamber 2, a regenerative heater 20 for releasing moisture adsorbed in the adsorption chamber 17, and a controller 27. The controller drives the circulation fan 16 during heating to adsorb moisture generated from food 3 in the adsorption chamber 7, and diffuses the moisture adsorbed in the chamber 17 on the food 3 before the heating comes to an end.
