PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ice making machine for producing ice having a given size and hygienic at all times. SOLUTION: In an upper stage machine 22A, a changeover switch 15A is at an upper side position U during ice making process even when the storage of ice in an ice storage section is finished and an ice storage detecting switch 13 is operated whereby the coil X3C of a relay X3 is excited and a contact X3S is opened. The temperature of a thermistor 12A is lower than a set temperature during ice removing process whereby the coil X2C of a relay X2 is excited, a contact X2S is closed, the coil X4C of the relay X4 is excited and a contact X4S is opened, the coil X1C of a relay X1 is not excited in either one of the cases, and the operation of the upper stage machine 22A is not stopped. When the temperature of the thermistor 12A is raised to a value higher than the set temperature and the ice removing process is finished, the coil X2C is not excited, the contact X4S is closed, the changeover switch 15A is at a lower side position L, and the contact X3S is also closed whereby the coil X1C is excited and the operation of the upper stage machine 22A is stopped.
