PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To cause no error by setting restricting members of a paper feed cassette in the same color as that of a display of a paper size display portion for displaying a screen in matching to color displays at positions where the restricting members are fixed. SOLUTION: A paper storage portion 6a of the paper feed cassette 6 is provided with the restricting members 9, etc., for restricting a paper sheet at its rear end and its side. When the restricting members are positioned in coinciding with the sizes of the stored paper sheet, colors corresponding to the paper sizes are displayed. A dial member 10 is provided with a display of different colors and a display of paper sizes corresponding to the positions of the restricting members and colors at the stop positions of the restricting members are made to correspond to colors exposed to the screen of the dial member, whereby information for the paper sizes to be detected can be made to correspond to one another by using the sizes of the stored paper sheet and the dial member.
