PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lithium secondary battery having a high energy density, a large charging and discharging capacity and a long cycle lifetime. SOLUTION: This lithium secondary battery is formed of a negative electrode 2 mainly composed of the negative electrode active material holder, which stores the lithium ion by charging and which discharges the lithium ion by discharging, a positive electrode 6, which can perform the reversible electrochemical reaction with the lithium ion, and the lithium ion conductive electrolyte 3.
