PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device capable of measuring the density of a toner patch in a short time by relaxing the restrictions of timing to form the toner patch even when eccentricity is found on an image carrier. SOLUTION: This image forming device is equipped with a test latent image forming means for forming one or more kinds of electrostatic latent images for a test on the surface of the image carrier, an image measuring means for measuring the potential of the electrostatic latent image for a test or the density of a toner image for a test, and an image quality adjusting means for adjusting at least one of factors influencing the quality of the image according to measured results. The test latent image forming means forms the same kind of electrostatic latent image by radiating exposing light in accordance with an identical test image signal at mutually half-rotated positions on the surface of the image carrier for every kind, and the image measuring means obtains the average value of measured values for every identical kind. |
