PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a magnet-embedded rotor which enables improvement in its magnetic characteristics and reliability. SOLUTION: This magnet-embedded rotor has a laminated core 4 which comprises plate-shaped magnetic elements layered into a cylindrical shape and is attached to a rotor shaft 11, a plurality of holes 5 which are formed in the end surface of the laminated core 4 with prescribed intervals located circumferentially and made to axially pierce through the laminated core 4 with rectangular cross-sections, permanent magnets 10 which have rectangular cross sections and inserted into the respective holes 5, casting holes 6 which are formed along the rotor shaft sides of the respective holes 5 so as to pierce through the laminated core 4 and linked with the holes 5 via linking holes 8 at positions corresponding to the respective permanent magnets 10, casting grooves 9 which are formed extending to both circumferential end sides from the linking holes 8 of the rotor shaft side surfaces of the respective holes 5, and a resin material 12 which is cast through the casting holes 6, the linking holes 8 and the casting grooves 9 and fills the laminated core 4 with partial spaces 13 left on the rotor shaft sides of the permanent magnets 10.
