METHOD FOR REPAIRING DEFECT OF ALUMINUM PIPE

PURPOSE:To stably and satisfactorily repair the defective part of an aluminum pipe by discarding the first several pulses and repairing the defective part by overlapping the welding points at a specified amt. at every one pulse at the time of repairing the defective part of said pipe by laser welding. CONSTITUTION:A laser of YAG is used, and since the first several pulses are not stable in energy and fluctuate largely, the first several pulses are averted at the time of repairing the defective part 13 of the aluminum pipe. The laser pulses 15 are overlapped >=50% at every one pulse at the points of the subsequent stable pulses and the welding is executed so as to obtain the specified penetration by using the places on the central part of the laser pulses 15 where the heat is stable. The stable repair by using the stable laser pulses is thereby executed.
