The aim of the invention is to embody a radiation source, the power of which may be adjusted, as a diode laser arrangement, whereby various types of cooling can be applied and the configuration of the radiating field can be made suitable for various applications in a simple manner. Said aim is achieved whereby each diode laser is connected to a thermal contact surface on a separate heat-dissipating support which is fixed to the cooling surface of a common cooling element in an electrically insulated manner. The supports are arranged adjacent to each other such that the linear emission regions of the diode lasers are adjacent in a row and the p-n transition planes run parallel to the thermal contact surfaces. The diode laser arrangement is particularly suitable as a light pump source.
