<p>An optical wavelength demultiplexer which is low in loss and excellent in crosstalk characteristics and which has a flat passband. The optical wavelength passband comprises a substrate (30), at least one input waveguide (32) formed on the substrate, an optical power distributor (34) connected with the input waveguide, an array waveguide diffraction grating (36) connected with the optical power distributor and having a plurality of channel waveguides (42) having different optical path lengths, an output slab waveguide (38) connected with the array waveguide diffraction grating, and at least two output waveguides (40) connected with the output slab waveguide. The wavelength multiplexed light inputted from the input waveguide is separated into lights of different wavelengths and outputted from the output waveguide.</p> |
