LEVEE DRAIN STRUCTURE AND ITS CONSTRUCTION METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To forms a drain structure with high drainage ability without using a great amount of coarse grain material for a levee. SOLUTION: On the river back side of a dam body 2, a cage drain part 15 allowing inflow of seepage water from the dam body 2 is formed of filling cages 24 and 25 constructed by filling steel assembled nets with coarse grain filter material. Drain layers 16 and 17 are formed by fully covering a foundation ground 20 between the cage drain part 15 and a dam foot water passage 9 in the back toe and slope with the coarse grain filter material, and the cage drain part 15 and the drain layers 16 and 17 are covered with dam body soil 10. In this way, seepage water flowing into the cage drain part 15 is led to the bank foot water passage 9 via the drain layers 16 and 17.
