PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mechanism for registering film in an internal drum type scanner assembly. SOLUTION: A device for registering the film in the drum type scanner assembly includes a platen being a recessed curved surface film platen provided with a curved surface film path having 1st and 2nd parts,having 1st and 2nd film engaging assemblies having the film registration slide engaged with the front edge of the film supplied onto the platen, mounted to move by the length of the 2nd part, and fit to register the film having different length, and independently movably mounted at the 2nd part, and a means related to the slide and urging the slide to the front end of the film by gravity. In the device, the slide is moved in an upward direction against the gravity by the film in the case of supplying the film along the path and the slide plays a role to remove the bend from the supplied film in a state where the film is brought into contact with the platen.
