PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely hold a declutched state when a reduction gear is clutched and started by a driving device on starting an extruder and then a motor is driven with the gear declutched. SOLUTION: A safety device for switching of a clutch in a reduction gear in the resin extruder has a safety mechanism (100) comprising a switch (7) for a declutching position, a switch (8) for a clutching position, a cylinder (22), a solenoid valve (25), a through hole (23) and a declutching lock confirmation switch (24). In a state wherein a lever (3) is switched over to the declutching position (7a), a shaft (21) passes through the through hole (23) and the declutching lock confirmation switch (24) is made to operate.
