PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To construct a light-weight embankment structure having a high stability in the structure, effectively preventing generation of plastic distortion in foamed plastic blocks used for the revetment members. SOLUTION: In a broad embankment structure on a slope yard where foamed plastic blocks are filled in a laminated condition, in an open location formed of a front wall face 3 and a rear inclined yard 2, the foamed plastic blocks 1b used as at least one layer including the lowest bottom part of the filling layer have a higher compression strength than the foamed plastic blocks 1a used upward and further formed of an extrusion polystyrene foamed body.
