PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an reverse flow preventing device to effectively suppress a reverse flow occurring to the root part of a blade when an axial flow fan is operated at a high hydrostatic pressure and a low airflow. SOLUTION: A conical cone body 7 is mounted on a motor 2, positioned downstream from the root part of the blade 4, or a support therefor coaxially to the rotary shaft of the fan. This constitution forms an air current into a smooth oblique flow and prevents the occurrence of a reverse flow.
