A fused construct (10) including first and second ends (14A, 14B) each formed into a fused loop (10), and an intermediate part extending between the loops, wherein the loops (10) and the intermediate part include at least one segment of elongated material. Each of the loops (10) includes a joint region (14) having overlapped portions (16,18) and a thin layer (20) of fused material from the overlapped portions (16,18).
