IGNITION SYSTEM FOR INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ignition system for internal combustion engine which has an engine stopping function at the level down of lubrication oil without using a large-sized semiconductor device. SOLUTION: The ignition operation of engine is stopped by connecting a serial circuit of a diode 20 and an oil level detecting switch 11 to the gate cathode of a thyristor 3 which discharges an electric load of ignition condenser 2 on the primary coil of an ignition coil 1 and bypassing the ignition signal Si from the thyristor 3 through diode 20 and switch 11 when oil level detecting switch is turned to on condition. A driving circuit 29 is equipped to transmit the limited electric current from the exciter coil 7 as an ignition power source when the detecting switch is turned to on condition and warns the drop of oil level by the emission of light emitting diode.
