<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resistor that suppresses abnormal discharge between the resistor and the inner wall of the neck and enables to obtain an electron gun, having a proper voltage resistance property, and an electron gun having the same. SOLUTION: An electron gun and a resistor 64 are arranged in the neck of the cathode-ray tube. The insulating substrate 21 of the resistor is formed in a long rectangular shape and comprises a first and a second main face 21a, 21b, which are placed opposed each other. On the first main face, a resistor body layer and plural electrodes are installed, and a connection terminal 26A is provided at each electrode. The second main face of the insulating substrate is arranged opposite to the inner wall of the neck and edge portions 72 of the pair of the long sides, extending from the second main face are chamfered respectively. A through-hole 25, which penetrates the insulating substrate, is formed at each electrode section, and the cylindrical portion 26a of the connecting terminal extends through the through-hole and reaches the second main face side. The brim section 26b of the cylindrical portion at the top end is housed in a caulked state in the recess 36b formed on the second main face.</p> |
