PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an appearance inspection apparatus for a spherical body, capable of rotating the spherical body around its gravity center, regardless of the unevenness on the surface of the spherical body to stably and quickly inspect appearance of the spherical body. SOLUTION: This appearance inspection device or the spherical body B has a supply device 1, cutting the spherical body B one by one and supplying the spherical body B to a spherical body rotation device 5; the rotation device 5 provided adjacent to the supply device 1, supported on a tilt frame 10 via a suspension mechanism 8, supporting and rotating the spherical body B, and including elastic rollers 6, 7 having elastic material on the surfaces; photoelectric sensors 11, 12 provided above the rotating device 5 and inspecting the appearance of the spherical body B; and a discharge device discharging the spherical body B inspected by the rotating device 5.
