PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To carry out suitable constant-speed travel regardless of the variation of vehicle weight. SOLUTION: One control map is selected (S4) from plural control maps wherein control values are set according to vehicle weight on the basis of the vehicle weight sensed by a vehicle weight sensor. When a set switch is pressed (S7), if a constant-speed travel condition is satisfied (S8), constant-speed traveling control is carried out (S9) based on the selected control map so as to keep the vehicle speed at that time. Accordingly, torque suitable for the vehicle weight acts on the driving wheels regardless of the variation of the vehicle weight, so that the idling of the driving wheels is prevented and traveling stability can be improved even in a state of a small coefficient of friction resistance as in the rainy weather or the like. Necessary and sufficient acceleration performance, follow-up capability to the target vehicle speed, convergency and stability can be secured. The control value may be corrected based on the vehicle weight. |
