PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an input/output device that transfers data from channels using different transmission methods and received data, to a designated transfer destination or to output prints the data. SOLUTION: The input/output device is provided with a transmission reception section, that is connected to channel networks adopting different data transfer methods and transmits/receives the data to/from the connected channel networks, a print output section that outputs print data to a printer, an input output section that inputs/outputs data, a storage device that is placed at the outside of the input/output device, and connected thereto via a connection cable, and stores the data, an input/output control section that stores data received from the transmission/reception section and the input/output section in the storage device and outputs the data stored in the storage device to the transmission/reception section, the input output section or the print output section, and the storage device is provided with a permission section that connects a control line for transfer of a protection signal to the connection cable and disapproves accessing of data, when no protection signal is transferred.
