PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dielectric paste for electroluminescent element and its manufacturing method of which high dielectric constant inorganic powder is hard to be precipitated and coagulated during storage and which is improved in close adhesion to the surface of inorganic substance and organic substance and also improved in the luminescence efficiency of the electroluminescent(EL) element. SOLUTION: A dielectric paste for El element is formed containing a high dielectric constant resin, solvent, a high dielectric constant inorganic substance powder and a swelling stratified clay mineral which swells by solvent. A dielectric paste for EL element is formed containing a high dielectric constant resin, solvent, high dielectric constant inorganic substance powder and organic metal compound which is made by adding one or more hydrolysis group and one or more organic functional group to a metal atom. Further a dielectric paste for EL element is formed containing a high dielectric constant resin, solvent, high dielectric constant inorganic powder and a block isocyanate compound. Or a dielectric paste for EL element is formed of a high dielectric constant resin, solvent and a high dielectric constant powder comprising barium titanate or titanium oxide.
