摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the deterioration of printing quality without whitening the lower part of an electrophotographic photoreceptor even in the case of using a coating material using a chlorine-free solvent for a charge transfer layer of the electrophotographic photoreceptor. SOLUTION: (1) The coating material solvent at the time of forming the charge transfer layer uses tetrahydrofuran. (2) The relation among the film thickness (tμm) of the charge transfer layer, the concentration (C wt.%) of a coating liquid for forming the charge transfer layer and the temperature (T deg.C) of the coating liquid for forming the charge transfer layer is shown by the following equation. (t/C)×(1/T)<=0.04, where the temperature is controlled to T>=25 deg.C. (3) The atmospheric condition in the coating of the charge transfer layer is 18-24 deg.C and 30-65% RH. (4) The coating method of the charge transfer layer is the dip coating method. (5) The quantity (S ppm) of tetrahydrofuran remaining solvent after coating and drying the charge transfer layer is related by the following equation. (t/C)×(1/T)×S<=800.
