PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a loading device and a method for loading by which a load does not collapse during transportation, many stages of pallets loaded with a load can be stacked vertically, and the loads loaded on neighboring pallets do not directly hit and damage each other. SOLUTION: This relates to a loading device 1. Two panel shape bodies 2a, 2b are placed in parallel right and left, and the butt part of the same is joined freely openable and integrated by a hinge 3. A male side connective cloth 4a and a female side connective cloth 4b are attached to each end edge on the opposite side of the joined part. In loading an article, an article 5 to be loaded is stacked on the pallet 6 to a height not exceeding the panel shape bodies 2a, 2b of the device 1. The bodies 2a, 2b are folded with the hinge 3 as the center for running them along the corner side face of the loaded article group. The clothes 4a, 4b of the device 1 placed on neighboring corners are connected to each other in this condition surrounding the total periphery of the loaded article group with four loading devices 1.
