The roof has at least one roof aperture (2) which can be closed and at least partly opened by a set of several blade-like cover elements (3-8). The cover elements of each set can be pushed together by one edge across the roof, forming a pack of such elements on one side of the roof aperture. The cover elements are moved transversely to the direction of travel.
