PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cross tie for melting snow abundant in endurance and reliability without directly bearing the load of a train and allowing a snow melting action in a wide range around railroad rails. SOLUTION: Heating wire burying lugs 14, 14 are continuously and integrally stretched from both side face sections of a PC(prestressed concrete) cross tie body 10, heating wires 15, 15 and current-carrying sockets 18, 18 are integrally buried into the lugs 18, 18, and they are electrically connected for use to the main trunk line 36 of a power supply via insertion plugs 23, 23 capable of being inserted into the sockets 18, 18 from the outside and cabtire cables 24, 24.
