The attachment consists of a spherical or disc-shaped male component, and a female component in the form of a sleeve (1), generally of metal, with a ring (2), also of metal, fitting inside it to receive the male component. The ring has a lengthwise slot (8) and an outer collar (3) which is able to move diametrically along a shoulder (4) inside the top of the sleeve when the male component is inserted. The upper end of the sleeve is covered by a disc (5) which prevents axial movement of the ring, and the lower end of the ring has a conical surface (6) to receive the male component.
