METHOD FOR CONTROLLING OPERATION OF FREEZING COMPARTMENT OF REFRIGERATOR

PURPOSE: A method is provided to uniformly cool throughout the freezing compartment by re-setting the reference temperature under the operation condition where the reference temperature is set as a strong level. CONSTITUTION: A method comprises a step(S100) of setting the reference temperature for freezing compartment; a step(S101) of judging whether the set reference temperature is "strong" level; a step(S102) of judging whether the sensed outdoor air temperature is higher than the reference temperature; a step(S103) of re-setting the reference temperature for the freezing compartment; a step(s104) of judging whether the compressor motor is turned on; a step(S105) of sensing the current temperature of the freezing compartment if the compressor motor is not turned on; a step(S106) of judging whether the current temperature is higher than the upper limit temperature; a step(S107) of performing cooling operation for freezing compartment if the current temperature is higher than the upper limit temperature; a step(S108) of sensing the current temperature of the freezing compartment if the compressor motor is turned on; a step(S109) of judging whether the current temperature is lower than the lower limit temperature; a step(S110) of turning the compressor motor and the cooling fan motor off if the current temperature is lower than the lower limit; a step(S111) of returning to the reference temperature for freezing compartment if the operation condition for freezing compartment changes; a step(S112) of judging whether the compressor motor is turned on; a step(S113,S114) of sensing the current temperature of freezing compartment and judging whether the sensed temperature is higher than the upper limit; a step(S115) of turning the compressor motor and the cooling fan motor on if yes; a step(S116,S117) of sensing the current temperature and judging whether the sensed temperature is lower than the lower limit if the compressor motor is judged as turned on in the step(S112); and a step(S118) of turning the compressor motor and the cooling fan motor off if the sensed temperature is lower than the lower limit.
