PURPOSE: A scanning carriage conveying device for an image forming device is provided to prevent the generation of a gap due to the worn slide bushes caused by the friction between scanning carriages and guide rails for realizing the smooth conveying operation of the scanning carriage, thereby preventing the noise or vibration due to the gap and realizing the high quality images. CONSTITUTION: A scanning carriage conveying device for an image forming device includes a chassis(100) mounted with U-shaped guide rails(60,61) at both sides, and scanning carriages(10,20) mounted with a guide spring(70) at both ends for elastically supporting the scanning carriages against the guide rails, wherein the guide spring is fixed with slide bushes(80,81) generating friction with the guide rails, so that no gap is generated between the guide rails and the slide bushes by the elastic force of the guide spring even though the slide bushes are worn out due to the repeated friction with the guide rails.
